Isaiah 61

  1. The Spirit of the Lord god is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted. to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
  2. 2. To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
  3. To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LROD, that he might be glorified.
  4. And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
  5. And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.
  6. But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD; men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall you boast yourselves.
  7. For your shame you shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion; therefore in their land they shall possess the double; everlasting joy shall be unto them:
  8. For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.
  9. And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people; all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed.
  10. I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul  shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
  11. For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the LORD God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

Take me all the way!

This is my prayer, take me all the way!  I don’t wanna just go through the motions, do you?

This might hurt, it’s not safe, but I know that I’ve got to make a change. I don’t care if I break at least I’ll be feeling somethin’. It’s just ok, it’s not enough. Help me fight through the nothingness of life.

Cause I don’t want to go through the motions; I don’t go one more day without your all consuming passion inside of me; I don’t want to spend my whole life asking what if I had given everything. Instead of going through the motions.

No regrets, not this time I’m gonna let my heart defeat my mind. Let your love make me whole. I think I’m finally feeling something; it’s just okay It’s not enough.

Help me fight through the nothingness of this life.

Cause I don’t wanna go through the motions. I don’t wanna go one more day without your all consuming passion inside of me.  I don’t wanna spend my whole life asking what if I had given everything.

Instead of going through the motions.

Keeping my eyes fixed on Jesus

Psalm 61 King James Version (KJV)

Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.

From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.

Thou wilt prolong the king’s life: and his years as many generations.

He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.

So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

My pastor preached tonight on this passage of scripture.

Luke 5:4-6

4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. 5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. 6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. (Emphasis mine)

No matter how many times we pray, how long we have struggled, fasted, kept on keeping on without an answer to those prayers, without a return for our labors. We must keep looking just like Elijah he kept praying, he kept looking and when he saw the cloud, not a huge cloud, one the size of our hand; imagine that, how many of us would say nope nothing yet. Elijah got excited he said hitch up your chariot before the rain stops you. He was walking by faith and acting upon his faith. Although it was just a small cloud nevertheless, it was a cloud. Would we expect a major rain storm if we saw a cloud the size of a man’s hand today or would we say nope it’s not gonna rain. We walk by faith and not by sight.

Peter fished all night without a return for his labors and he was washing his nets and getting ready to get some rest and the LORD said  launch out and let down your nets for a catch. Peter was probably thinking “really” I have been out all night, I’m tired, and I already washed the nets and put them away. How many of us would stop there?  I would and have…I hate to admit… Peter said, watch now, nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.  He did what the LORD instructed him to do even though he toiled all night, he had used up his strength, tried it his way, he was tired, probably aggravated but nevertheless he did what he was told. He heard and obeyed and he caught so much that his net broke.

I have been in this season where I have tried in my own strength. I have done it my way. Oh, and did I mention….I failed…  I have exhausted every avenue possible and I have reached the point where I am ready to do it God’s way. I am ready to leave my family problems, finances, daughters, not understanding why, questioning,  broken relationships, and anger in his all capable hands and hear him and obey. I pray that I will hear his voice and obey quickly. I am ready for such a haul that my nets break with the blessings of my Heavenly Father. His way is and always will be the best way.

I will trust Him and obey; nevertheless

Graphic Artist Who Designed Novel ‘The Shack’ Renounces Book Says: “I Have Deep Regrets”

God wake us up and help us to turn from sin, back to You; the God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Absolute Truth from the Word of God

Even though this graphic artist is now renouncing his part in designing “The Shack” (book) I believe that most of the damage is already done.  If you know Christians who have been drawn into this heretical book, and now heretical movie about the Trinity, please send them this article. At least this person had the courage to come forward and speak against “The Shack.”

‘I Have Deep Regrets’: Graphic Artist Who Designed ‘Shack’ Novel Renounces Book

The graphic artist who helped design the controversial best-selling novel “The Shack” has come forward to express his regret for being a part of the project out of his concern that it contains false doctrine.

“Over 10 years ago, I was captivated by the story and felt honored to be part of the graphic creation of the book. I was so drawn into it, wanting to know the God it portrayed,”…
